How do I tell my mom and dad I want to start dating?

I’m 13 years old and there is a girl at my school that I really like, but before I can ask her out I have to tell my parents I want to start dating because I don’t want to sneak around behind their backs. One additional problem though: my 16 year old sister doesn’t date yet.

just say your going out with a friend.. its not sneaking behind there backs if they no your going out..

They’d understand
If anything your parents would be curious if you didn’t start telling them about your love life (or whatever you want to call it), because you ARE in fact a guy, who is most likely going through puberty, so it’s very normal to start having interest in girls.
And also, just because your sister is 16 and doesn’t date, doesn’t mean your parents don’t allow if or wouldn’t want you to. I’m 16 and don’t really date yet, either. Not because my parents don’t allow it (they do), I’m just one of those girls that take things slower and wait around for the right person. Your sister is probably the same way.
Don’t be embarrassed or anything. I’m sure your parents have thought about giving you “those” kind of talks, but felt the same way as you. It can be awkward being the one to bring up the subject but it’s all worth it in the end. They’ll feel good that you’re open about this kinda stuff, but if you sneaked around they’d just be like “why didn’t you tell us?”

i have a feeling that your sister does, shes just not saying…
just start talking about the girl you like so they have an idea of who she is…after a week or so ask you parents can you go to the cinema with her…if they say yes then you can ask the girl…if they say no then ask them when you can start dating…
im 13 and i feel really aquard about the whole thing. ive had boyfriends but my mom didnt know about them at that time…she does now…lol

You are young to date but if I were you, I would ask both Mom and Dad as well as your sister it sit around the table and talk. Let them know how you are feeling because sneaking around is out of the question. Tell them you even thought of that and know it would be wrong to do it that way.
You may be surprised at how they handle this. At your age dating in groups of 4 or six is the best thing. Going to the mall or a movie as a group and follow the rules your parents set.
Remember this, some young people go through puberty earlier than others and these new emotional and sexual feelings are normal. It is so important that you learn to Control every feeling because what you don’t know yet because you are young yet is this, sex is like a drug and once you have sex you want it more and more. That is why people are supposed to be married before they have sex. This new thing the past few years where everyone is using sex as a recreational play thing is totally wrong. These people have no respect for their bodies and Aids and std’s are everywhere. Lots of these will kill you or eat away your private parts. Go online and check it out if you even get one idea of actually having sex. I will tell you too that any girl who is having sex before she is 18 has a problem. That goes for boys too. Sex is NOT a recreational play thing to fill up time.
