How many people uses Myspace as a dating tool?

I have met a couple people on MySpace and went out on a couple dates. Didn’t amount to anything really. I met someone about two years ago (maybe it was more like two and a half–time flies by, doesn’t it? LOL) on the site and we went out for about a month and half altogether, only to have him dump me through the very same site in an email. That taught me to not date anyone from MySpace ever again.

I’ve used it before as a dating tool. I actually had a long distance relationship with a girl for 6 months with a girl on myspace. I don’t recommend that at all though! But my current girlfriend and I, you could say that we actually met through myspace. A friend introduced me to her. A little “hi” “hello”, and then I was off to enjoy the rest of my night without even taking notice of the girl at the time. Well, the girl found me on myspace a few days later, we talked for a couple of days, arranged a date, and now we’re pushing 9 months being together.

It’s definitely a great place to find people, but it’s not designed for it. If you’re looking for a Dating Tool, try eHarmony. It’s a lot easier!

I don’t recommend any online dating site including myspace. Who’s to say that once you start dating them, they’re not still trying to hook up w/ other women. I guess that could be said of all men, but the online thing just makes it that much easier.

I have had this happen twice, so trust me. The guys who go online to meet women only want one thing, and it gives them an ego boost to have all these women chatting and messaging them all the time.

Not worth it!! Meet someone thru a mutual friend or church, that’s always the better route.
